Within the scope of the TDP 303 Social Responsibility and Contribution course, which was added to the 2023-2024 academic year course catalog as a compulsory third-year fall semester course and offered for the first time in the 2025-2026 academic year, a total of 6 projects were completed. Upon completion of the projects, a poster presentation was held on December 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Block C of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, where our department is located, with the participation of faculty members and students.

1. School Garden Flower Protection Fence Project / “Let Our Flowers Grow, Let Our School Be Beautiful”
Project Subject:
Construction of a fence to protect the flowers in the median strip of the school garden at Hacı Hafize Hakkı Saygan Primary School in Zerdalilik Neighborhood, Muratpaşa District, Antalya Province. The aim is to protect the flowers from external threats by fencing them off.
Project Aims/Objectives:
To instill environmental awareness and love of nature in primary school students. To protect the flowers in the school garden so they can grow. To ensure a tidy, safe, and most importantly, aesthetically pleasing appearance of the school garden.
Project Target Group:
Children aged 7 to 12 who are in primary school.

2. A Sustainable World Project with Water-Saving Faucet Replacement / “Save Water, Save the World”
Project Subject:
Installing water-saving "aerator caps" on the faucets in the male and female student restrooms located in Block C of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Akdeniz University.
Project Aims/Objectives:
To achieve 40% water savings in the male and female student restrooms in Block C of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Akdeniz University through the installation of "aerator caps".
Project Target Audience:
Students, faculty members, other staff, and visitors of Block C of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Akdeniz University.

3. Generations' Garden Project / “One Garden, Two Generations, Eternal Friendship”
Project Subject:
To develop social interaction, intergenerational solidarity, and a culture of collaborative creation through flower planting and care activities between university students and elderly individuals living in nursing homes.
Project Aims/Goals:
- To reduce social isolation and feelings of loneliness among elderly individuals,
- To develop students' respect, empathy, and volunteerism towards the elderly.
- To provide psychological well-being and happiness through an activity in harmony with nature.
Project Target Group:
- Akdeniz University students (All Faculties/Departments, volunteer student groups)
- Elderly individuals residing in local nursing homes.
- Academic and administrative staff who will participate in the project activities.

4. Share Your Stationery Project / “The Pen You Don't Use Is Waiting for Someone Else”
Project Subject:
A recycling and solidarity-based sharing project aimed at delivering stationery, notebooks, bags, and textbooks that university students no longer use or rarely use to students in need.
Project Aims/Goals:
- To develop a sense of sharing, solidarity, and social responsibility among students.
- To prevent waste and ensure the reuse of usable materials.
- To create a "sharing cabinet" within the faculty and ensure its sustainable use.
Project Target Group:
Akdeniz University students and staff (as donors and volunteers) and students in need (as beneficiaries)

5. Project for the Lonely Elderly / “Youth's Awareness of the Elderly: You Are No Longer Alone”
Project Subject:
- To raise awareness among the elderly, whose numbers are increasing in society, and who are becoming increasingly isolated by their close circles and society.
- To raise awareness among the elderly and their close circles and in society regarding the growing elderly population. - Identifying the care and caregiver problems of elderly people living alone and developing solutions to these problems together with project stakeholders.
Project Aims/Goals:
- To alleviate feelings of loneliness in the elderly
- To foster empathy and a sense of responsibility among students and the community
- To make the elderly feel valued
- To observe the psychological and physiological effects of loneliness on the elderly
- To observe the care and caregiver problems of the elderly and develop solutions
- To conduct activities to help elderly people who are becoming lonely to socialize
- To secure the support of stakeholders and relevant institutions for the elderly
- To institutionalize and make sustainable the interest and attention of relevant institutions and the community towards the elderly in the long term
Project Target Group:
- Elderly people living alone who are deprived of the attention of society, institutions, and their relatives
- Relatives of the elderly

6. Who Sit Thinks, Who Think Produces Project
Project Subject:
To create seating areas on campus to meet the needs of students for rest, socialization, and productive time between classes. This includes creating a resting and study area in the garden of Block C of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
Project Aims/Objectives:
- To increase opportunities for students to rest, socialize, and spend time between classes on campus.
- To contribute to environmental landscaping by improving the aesthetic appearance of the campus area.
- To raise awareness among students about the natural environment and animal-friendly living.
- To make common areas on campus more effective and efficient.
- To strengthen the sense of belonging among students and increase social awareness.
- To contribute to improving the quality of campus life.
